Choosing Wedding Gown

28 March 2008

We went down to our Bridal Studio to choose my wedding gown, evening gown and outdoor gown while my husband chose 2 jackets - black tuxedo and chinese-style. My 2 sisters, sis's bf and my best friend also came along to give me opinion. We started looking and trying on gowns from noon 1plus to 6 plus. Their wedding gowns are very nice. Spent a lot of time choosing one. However their evening gown collection is quite limited. Nonetheless, I've enjoyed myself trying out so many beautiful gowns. :)

Wedding gown with beautiful floral lace.

Evening gown Cheong Sum which we had a tough time choosing. This piece was one of the last few which I tried on.

We're substituting one traditional costume for photoshoot with this evening gown.

Outdoor gown is simple. Chose this halter-neck gown as it's something different from my wedding gown.

3D Diagram of Our House

After looking through home deco magazines and the internet, we have an idea how we would like our house to be and engaged our interior designer Miko from Baroque D'zign to adapt those ideas. We are quite satisfied with her designs generally. However we find the MBR headboard and walk-in wardrobe not as nice and will meet up with her to discuss tomorrow.

Shoe cabinet will be constructed next to the main enterance. We love this design. We plan to substitute the orange bottle with a glass cabinet so that no one can seat on that area and get hurt when stand up.

Feature wall at dining area to cover bomb shelter entrance. We are planning of getting black tempered glass dining table or wooden table with glass top.

Living room is slanted. So we have a full height feature wall-cum-tv console to flaten the wall and align parallel to sofa. We plan to hack the wall between a bedroom and living room and change it into a glass wall (next to the sofa in the diagram). This is to make the living room brighter. That bedroom will be a study area or reading corner.

Kitchen cabinets will be all white with 2 panels of frosted glass. We plan to change the cabinet arrangement to normal L-shape instead of the above design. The glass-backing will be orange instead of red as this matches our kitchen tiles.

Walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom is located outside the toilet and next to the MBR entrance. As we don't like this design, we will discuss with Miko and see how we can change it.

MBR headboard is another design which we don't like. It's too dark and the cushion isn't nice. But we do love the 2 shelves where there'll be light shining out.
Hope we can finalise the designs with Miko soon and start the reno!

Our House

After several months of waiting, finally we got our keys on 26 Feb 2008 3pm. The very next day we went up our house to check for defects and clean up. Had a joint inspection with the HDB contractors on 29 Feb.

Solemnisation - 19 Jan 2008

Orchard Hotel Rosewood Function Room 2-5pm

It was a fine day. We started the day early by going to our bridal studio for makeup and hairdo. Then we made our way to Orchard, bought a long-sleeved shirt and a fresh bouquet of flowers. It was a day filled with joy, happiness and LOVE!
