Our Love Nest
Finally borrowed my sis camera to take some photos of our house as it is now, after living in it for ~4 months. We have since organised many house-warming and on each occasion, prepared carbonara pasta and green curry. Once in a while, friends will gather here for movie/drink sessions.

Shoe-cum-display cabinet. Notice the collection of alcohol on the upper shelf of the cabinet. We're still trying to expand the collection. Cards and gifts from friends are also displayed here.

Kitchen. I still love our fridge! Quite a number of guests also admire it. :) Recently we've bought some PVC decorations to stick on the glass/wall. Shown on the right pic above is one of such deco bought from taobao.com. It costs only RMB19 (exclu shipping). This deco also helps people to notice the glass door when it's closed as there is a case where my uncle bang onto it when entering the kitchen.

Common toilet. Nothing is signifantly changed since we got our key. We only added the cabinet and glass shelf from Ikea.

Living/Dining room. Warm white lights switched on. We also did warm lightings, which surround the hall (not shown here). In the picture on the right, you can see the study room in the background. This is the room where we hacked the wall and removed the door to replace with glass. This really makes our living area looks more spacious and brighter. Some people even thought it's a balcony! ;)

TV console. We love this! It's an impressive masterpiece as it flattens our trapezium-shaped living/dining room and makes it look regular. Wires of plasma TV, home theatre system and cable tv box are hidden. It's so nice to watch blockbuster movies on this 42' TV. Notice the clock on the right corner of the photo. Besides telling time, it also acts as an art piece. Bought it from Carrefour for $40++.

2nd bedroom converted to Sesame's playground. We brought back boxes for her to play with. But her fav activity is to roll herself in the sand (blue container in the centre foreground of the pic).

Bomb shelter feature wall. The photo on the right shows the door opened. Our dining table has been replaced with a black, opaque glass. The table runner was purchased from Bangkok when we went on a trip after our ROM, back in Jan last year.
Bomb shelter. Finally did the shelvings in Feb 09. It costs us $210 to line the entire length of the room (240cm). The room smells of paint as we store the leftover paints from the reno here. Shall get some charcoal to remove/minimise the smell.
Cosy corner. Behind the sofa is our cosy corner. It wasn't very cosy and had been a white elephant until we added the deco from taobao.com. It costs RMB89 (exclu shipping) only. It's now much cosier and will be a nice place to hang around playing cards and board games. There's a 大红包 with '囍' on it framed up by our uncle in the pic. This big red packet was made by Justin and his brother group for the gate-crashing.
Sesame. She is our new member of the house, a heterozygous light ebony chinchilla. Found this cute fellow in Pets Republic. Below the cage are 2 drawers bought from Ikea using vouchers. Can't remember the exact price but cost around $39 each.
Sesame girl. Her parents are of US origin but she's born in Singapore on 4 Dec 2008. She's now 3 months old and loves to come out for a sprint and high jump session.
