7th Week of Reno - 19-25 May 2008

Lights were delivered on tue and installed on Fri. We went up to inspect on Sat night and there are quite a number of changes to be made. As suggested by Miko, the kitchen light is not bright enough and we need to get an additional light. Secondly, one of the tubes/bulbs of the kitchen and master bedroom lights are not working. Thirdly, we want to shorten all the hanging lights by half of their existing lengths. Lastly, the ceiling lights of the bedrooms are too white/blue. Changing them to warm-white (middle-tone colour) will be nicer.

Foyer light. The lines of lights that it makes against the ceiling is fantastic! Simply love it!

Living room. Covelighting is one of my fav as it gives a very warm and cosy touch to the house. The warm downlights surrounds the dining/living room while the warm-white downlights shine the middle of the dining and living area.

Cosy corner. Similar to the one in the MBR.

Master bedroom. The 3 crystal lamps are to be placed above the bed. We will have to shorten all the lengths. The pic on the right is the light for our walk-in wardrobe.

Ceiling lights in the other 2 bedrooms. Colour of light is too cool to our liking.

Toilet light - small and bright.

We went to Teck Whye Curtains & Services at Chinese Garden and Jimmy Textile at Geylang to get quotations for curtains. In the end we got Jimmy Textile to do the curtains for $1580. This includes full height night curtain and roller blind for living room, full height curtain for MBR, roman blinds for the other 2 bedrooms and full height curtain for glass wall.
